Website helped Diagnose MF 7618 Dyna VT 4WD Solenoid Issue. One of the subscribers of our website recently contacted me to share how it helped resolve an issue with one of their tractors. The mechanic works for a contracting business that owns a fleet of tractors from different manufacturers. One of the operators called him to report an active error code on their MF 7618 Dyna VT tractor. The error code was T5133 which indicated a problem with the 4WD solenoid. The transmission and rear axle of this tractor are the same as Fendt tractors, and it’s common for solenoids to fail and cause errors.
Fortunately, the mechanic was able to use our website to quickly search for the error code description. He found out that the likely culprit was the 4WD solenoid. Armed with this information, he grabbed a new solenoid and went to the site. He knew the ohm’s value for the solenoid from the description on the website, so he was able to check the solenoid coil. Additionally, the description also provided the solenoid’s location, which was helpful as there were six solenoids mounted in a row, and he had no idea which one was the 4wd solenoid.
Using the website, he could quickly locate the solenoid and test its resistance. This confirmed that the solenoid coil had failed, and he replaced it with a new one.
This is a great example of how having access to a little bit of extra information can have a big impact on quickly getting tractors fixed and back to work.
