Transmission Calibration Dyna 6

Transmission oil temperature needs to be between 15 deg C to 60 deg C (60F-140F)

The ideal temperature is between 35 deg C to 45 deg C (95F-113F)

To check the temperature, you can get it to show on the dash display.

To get the temperature displayed

  1. Engine running
  2. Shuttle lever in Neutral
  3. Press the Range shift button and the Diff lock button at the same time for 5 seconds.
  4. Temperature should now show on the dash right hand screen

The tractor can be driven with the temperature display active. Ensure the 4wd and Diff lock are turned off.

Aim to get the oil temperature up to around 40 deg C (104F) On a cold day the oil can cool quite quickly and drop below the ideal temperature.

Transmission Calibration Procedure

WARNING- Tractor may move unexpectedly if there is a problem with the calibration.

  1. Ensure the area is safe, No people around and no objects in front or behind the tractor.
  2. Hand brake on (park brake)
  3. Engine running
  4. Clutch pedal released (you do not need to use the clutch pedal)
  5. Engine RPM set to 1500
  6. Lift the shuttle lever up to the raised position and press the Diff lock button at the same time for 10 seconds.
  7. Check the right-hand display on the Dash. Range number 1 and 4 should be flashing and a T symbol should be on the display. If not, calibration has not been entered. Turn off engine for 30 seconds and try again
  8. Place shuttle lever in the forward position- Do not use the clutch. Tractor should not move but be prepared for it to move in case there is a problem.
  9. Calibration is automatic, Range lights 1 and 4 should flash during calibration, once complete Range lights 1 and 2 will flash. Approximately 2 minutes to complete.
  10. Once completed reduce engine RPM and ensure Diff lock is off. Test drive tractor using the shuttle forward and reverse. After testing turn ignition off and wait at least 1 minute for modules to fully power down and save the new values
